DUS Triumphs in WPL All Star Challenge as Santi Toccalino Earns MVP Honors

DUS (Grant Ganzi, Santi Toccalino, Antonio Heguy, and Tomas Panelo) delivered a strong all-around performance to defeat The Boca Raton (Pablo MacDonough, Alejandro Novillo Astrada, Tomacho Pieres, and Matias Gonzalez) 9-7 in the World Polo League All Star Challenge, showcasing speed, precision, and teamwork throughout the match. The game was tightly contested early, with both teams trading goals and applying steady pressure, but DUS began to separate as the match progressed by capitalizing on key opportunities and maintaining control through the middle chukkers.
Santi Toccalino led the way for DUS and was named Most Valuable Player, making a decisive impact on both ends of the field with his offensive execution and field awareness. His consistency and leadership proved pivotal in pushing DUS ahead when the game was still within reach.
The match also highlighted exceptional equine performances. The Argentine Polo Association Best Playing Pony was awarded to Irenita Perlada, played and owned by Pablo MacDonough, for its standout performance and athleticism. The World Polo League Best Playing Pony honors went to Forget Me Not, played by Grant Ganzi and owned by Santa Rita Polo Farm, recognized for its speed and reliability under pressure. The American Polo Horse Association Best Playing Pony was awarded to Machitos Boogie, played by Tomacho Pieres and owned by Santa Rita Polo Farm, capping off an impressive showing of top-level polo ponies.
